I was listening to one of my very favorite gospel songs, My Testimony by Marvin Sapp and it just moved me. It’s critical to not only have a testimony but to share your trials and inspire others. Most of us know as we get older, having an emotional and soul ties is much deeper and gratifying than physical presence. For me through the separation of those ties, I was lost, and it felt like I had fallen, I had failed, it was one of the most challenging situations in my life that I had to prevail. Overcome within my mind, my heart, my work, my finances. While we don’t know it at the time, God is working behind the scenes, covering, and building us up for our testimony. Through the grace of God, I made it through! As I got on the other side, not only did He cover me and give me a testimony, but God delivered me to my purpose!
Ok, I know men go thru a lot too, but I have to focus on my sisters today. There are so many at home, at their job, in their cars, in their rooms and just calling out to God, going through so much. They are lost, dealing with depression, anxiety, illness, financial issues, abuse, medical treatment….and so much more. And listen when I tell you raising your children at the same time is an absolute bear. But hold on my sister….pray and push through. Overcome one step at a time, make time for yourself, you got this! God is forming you as a witness. Take that hug, cry it out, take that phone call, vocalize your challenges, and grant yourself grace….this will be your Testimony. Don’t give up my sister, He still has a plan for you.
As Mr. Sapp says – your story may not be my story. Despite of your storm, you will Make It Through! God has a Testimony for you!
